I am currently 17 days post LNF and I have found this brochure I was sent home with a great help and I am sharing because of that. There are recipes and sample menus. I hope this can help someone else.

yes, thank you very much Denise. I am doing much better than I thought I would be at this stage in the game. Had my first bout of heartburn today, no reflux, but it could have been the tomato soup I had for lunch. Feeling good enough that I have to catch myself trying to do things I shouldn't like picking up things that are too heavy. nono Looking forward to getting to know everyone better and I thank you for being here to bend an ear. smhair

Hi Bigskychic,

Anytime! Pain and irritation at the wrap site/esophagus can mimic reflux.  I was told by my surgeon that the esophagus is a "dumb organ" that interprets all pain/irritation as reflux.

with the bland soft diet getting rather boring, I will say that my food processor and my blender are my new best friends. I made sausage gravy this weekend for my family and put some in the blender and had over soft potatoes. Oh yummy real food! Very much enjoyed your recovery journal as well. I was afraid to read it before my procedure, but it would have been helpful about the walking. Now my biggest goal is getting healed up enough to get back to my Zumba class! yeah
