Hi IlliniFan,I'd hold off on raw veggies for a while. I think at your stage I was starting to experiment...I remember eating a half-cherry tomato and had some (ouch!) spasms as it got stuck at the wrap. Stick with cooked veggies for a while more.
Actually during the first year or so, I had to take it easy with raw veggies. Even past the 6 month mark (I can't tell you exactly when) if I ate too big a salad or a couple days in a row I'd irritate my wrap. It would get better in a few days, but I'd usually get a little dumping with it.
I'd say wait to the four month mark for full-on raw veggies and even then chew, chew, chew, and don't swallow anything with big chunks. You can try anything and see what you can handle, but if you want a better chance of eating it without problems, wait a while.
Have you tried a slow-cooker yet? Meat, potato, onions, carrots, etc...cooked a long, long time, are tasty and very soft.
Remember to have some non-iced water and/or tea handy when you do give it a try, in case you need it to help get something down.
Happy Eating!
