ask for a second opinion and implore with them that you need something done they kept trying to palm me off on the nhs I had to go privately to get something done im only just now waiting for the operation which i should get done within the next couple of weeks. I'm sure they could just redo the wrap if it worked before

You need to find someone who has experience of lots of Nissen re-dos. You are entitled to a second opinion, so I would find out via the Internet which consultants there are at your nearest biggest teaching hospital and ask to be referred to one of them for further opinion. Another trick is to contact local private hospitals and ask them who on their list does Nissen repeats/redos - then find out (via the Internet) where their NHS base is and persuade your GP to refer you to them. It takes some time but you should at least be able to get a second opinion.
