Nissen Fundo Curiousity

Im far from even considering surgery in my case, but I was just curious. I have gerd with chronic burning in my esophagus which is always chronically painful and uncomfortable, but along with that symptom I also get bloated/full after eating one bite of food and usually subsides after a minute. This symptom doesnt happen all the time but maybe every few days. I was wondering if that is a problem with those considering niessen operations?
Because the operation causes more bloating as well, does that mean that it would make it altogether a really bad idea to even have surgery if you experience bloating with your Gerd?

In order to be certain the surgery will work for you, you should get the complete battery of testing. The 4 tests I had done were:

1) Manometry (extremely painful, but proved I had a very weak LES)
2) Barium Swallow (showed reflux being promoted to my upper esophagus)
3) Endoscopy
4) Can't think of the name offhand, but they put a device in your esophagus which measures how much acid your body is producing. You'll walk around with a monitor for 48 hours and get the results a bit later.
