Does Zantac work well? i was on prevcid but it gave me horrible heart palps. I have horrible gerd. I had Hpylori but was cured with the horrible prev pack. Now the acid R is the worst it has ever been.Anything helps

Zantec is an H2 blocker, not a PPI. The problem with it is people commonly develop tolerance within a couple of weeks or so, and it doesn't work as well. After being on a PPI for a few months, I did transition to Zantec, did pretty well and now I only take a couple of TUMS. I follow the Fast Tract Diet. There is a thread here now on pg 2 with more details about this diet.
