sick and tired of being sick and tired new member

Hi All , New member long standing problem
the dreaded gerd that has been with me for at least twenty years. I wish this forum had been here then .I been poked scanned ct ed and had several procedures going in some orifice or another. It has come around full circle again and the chest pain became unbearable like a freakin heart attack so i get another echo ct scan on heart waiting for results . Have had some months in between that were absolutely blissfull minor symptoms where i could carry on my working duties no problem . Have had every antacid none to man and every ppi none to man now the insurance companies are invovled they refused my aciphex script i had to start buying my aciphex up north and still cost a lot . I went to a new gi doc she ordered a mamonomentry . It just happened to be a week when i had very little symptomology so the test was not very conclusive She has perscribed a generic form of protonix for me this is my second day on it. I just hope it works i'm starting to get a little bummed out it really affecting my life it is really hard to work with this in a bad flare up i'm a carpenter it kicks my bottom every time i bend over. It is nice to see that some folks are having good luck with some protocols .I'm starting to think about possible surgery Be Well Be Swell

Thank You No Doubt, I have been at this for a darn long time and have tried some pretty weird protocols some have worked and some i probably should not have tried . If i hear of something that sounds promising i'll try it I have had several endoscopys and the bravo test .I live in northern california and have used the gi docs in my area and traveled to Stanford Medical Center for some extra looks still no real help .It is kind of amazing sometimes a lot of the docs don't know what to do with our condition .I have some other stuff going on too that maybe related or not high bp high blood sugar and a kind of rosacea that is not rosacea that not one doctor noes anything about . Well i do know this our stomachs are our second brain and if you can fix that a lot of other problems will leave also
