Excessive saliva mixed w blood - Help!

I'm a Crohnie and for 3 days in a row I have had excessive saliva mixed w raw red blood. I have had GERD for 14 years and I know that excessive salivation is one of the symptoms of GERD. I saw my GI on Wednesday and he prescribed me: Nexium 40 x 2, Zantac 300 mg x 2 and Gaviscon advance x 3. But the blood is still there. It's not bleeding but I'm nauseated and do vomit and have chest pain and pain in my back corresponding to my esophagus. I know that this all caused by my GERD. I switched food to rice pudding and Ensure only. Is there something I'm missing?
Any advice will be highly appreciated.

Sounds like you've got some major inflammation going on.
Do you think the crohn's is causing this?

Thank you. I was never told that I have Crohn's in my stomach. Any suggestions of what to do? It's really annoying as I had to stay up all night coz of the saliva. I know it's not alarming and I don't want to call my GI.

If you have any pain you might have an ulcer coming on.
The nausea could be from swallowing the blood. Or the blood could be coming from the throwing up.

I just don't know...I know you don't want to bother the GI, but I'd call him and tell them what's happening.

I would kindly suggest you see your PCP for a complete medical screening exam as trying to guess what is wrong with you doesn't always work in your favor.  Many things can cause the sx you are having and don't let this drag on.

Please know your post concerns me as my " chronic IBS" turn out to be a large colon tumor which has changed my whole life. I was dx in August 20,2012.

Not every upset stomach is cancer but don't assume it is minor either.

@ Couchtater. It's not a matter of not wanting to bother the GI. I intend to do this in the early morning and esp. that blood is persisting.
@ Kitt. Sorry about your disease. Hope you are better now. I will seek medical help.
