my reflux gerd doesnt make sence .. im at my whits end please any advice or help much appreciated

hya all ... newby here .. for the past 6 weeks ive been in agony .. every day all the time ... all the sites that say safe foods for gerd reflux affect e ... even water ... im on lansaprol 30mgs desolv twice daily and also rinitadine 150 twice daily disolv and also gastracote  x2 four hourly yet still im suffering .. ive lost 36lbs in 6 weeks even eating a piece of brown bread causes acid ive tried everything and I don't know what else to do ... im so hungry but its so much easier not to eat cos then I have no acid and can function a little ... in this time my bowels have also slowed right down ... they even stopped for a bit but even tho I go now its like small slop or very loose little bits and I realy have to push to even get some out ... waiting for specialist but this ive been told will take weeks and I realy don't know how much more of this I can take ... any advice please il try anything! ... Di.

Have you tried gaviscon? It forms a raft between your stomach and esophagus to block acid. While you await the tests, try that. Also try sleeping elevated, small meals, don't eat three hours before bed, and try and work on your anxiety. I know it is stressful and upsetting, but unfortunately this condition is aggravated by stress.

I am sorry to hear all your suffering. Camera means endoscopy? How about blood works?

Sleeping upright might give you upper back pain especially since you are on ppi and it robs your calcium and magnesium.

It does sound horrible. You should feel better at least temporaily with all the drugs you are having....and you are doing all the right thing, too.
Why don't you go in ER if you are having such a hard time? I know it costs money but i've been to ER for the stomach pain and while they still wouldn't give me an endoscopy because it was set a weeks later but they checked(blood and urine samples and pressing tummy etc.) me to see if i have other problems like gall bladder, liver, pancreas.
It was stomach muscle spasm and in the end ER didn't help me at all :( but but at least ruled out more serious problems so that i could have peace of mind until my endoscopy. After deductible kicked in everything started to be covered by insurance 80% plus ppo discount so the cost was bearable, too.

thankyou for your replys ... trust me I have been to er 4 times ... first time they just did water sample and said oh acid and changed my medication ... second time was via ambulance.. my heart rate and bp twiced over they sent me home same night and just upped acid med no bloods or anything yet again .. 3rd time my doc admitted me to hosp for tests as my bowels had stopped working and there was no noise in my stomach at all wich concerned him and I hadn't been for 13 days .. all they did was bloods ... but did get camera and all was fine no reason for acid other than I was raw right up to my throat .. but they just put me on oral stuff for bowels and sent me home .. fourth time my water works were a mess and docs were worried again and Id only managed one small bowel movement in a month .. all they did was up my bowel meds and sent me home the next day after an xray showed I had a little blockage of poop so just put it all down including the bad acid to that ... so ther than a simple xray ive had no other tests on bowels in 6 weeks ... although I do have small movements it takes some getting out even though very loose and extremely slow but pushing out makes the acid worse.. ive still no appointment for specialist and there is up to a 13 week wait ive been told .. ive pushed docs and even cryed my eyes out but all they keep saying is have to wait for appointment .. I have a lot of back pain as I have degenerative disc desease and yes im suffering heavily with sitting up and sleeping upright all the time but not being able to have any pain relief is evil but my stomach just cant handle any of my normal meds I usualy have to take for my other illnesses too .. not even anti depress tabs .. im just on stomach stuff and have been for weeks but things are just getting worse ... every time I try and eat a little bit its agony and awful .. my ears are so bad and my throat ... today I had my little piece of toast and that was realy bad for hours after .. ive tried a few carrots 2 little brchili and a tiny bit of steamed fish for tea .. and all evening ive been on fire even with the meds as usual .. my other organs are fine I got sent for ultrasound separate to having to go hosp but it couldn't show bowels as wrong kind of machine .. I couldn't believe it ... I just feel im being fobbed off and made to cope in agony .. my weight loss is down to lack of food .. im so tired all the time now and everyone says I look ill .. im sick of pleading and begging with med profesion cos just banging my head against wall ... annoying cos if docs had upped my acid medication when put me on naproxen last September id never have been in this situation but its what damage has it all done to my bowel as that's just not right at all ... ive spent endless hours searching and reading up on what to have and what not to have and everything ive tried causes me grief .. running out of ideas now I realy am .
