Its been a yr since my Nissen Fundo and d I am having heartburn still I had my surgrey on Jan 11th 2012. I think I might have to go for another Endoscopy I don't want to cause I am afarid they willl tear it. Alexis

Hi Alexis,

If you're worried, than it's a good idea to get some testing.  You don't have to worry about the endoscopy...lots of people have them after their Nissen surgery.  I did.

I will talk with my GI Doc I see him this month I see him April 19th at 10:45am hope we can fix the problem and I don't have to have another surgrey. Grrr Alexis

Sorry to hear you are still having issues.

A barium swallow may be a good idea. It's none invasive and can see what he wrap is doing and if you are refluxing.

Thxs Everyone will let you know, Is is normal to have heatburn still after a Nissen ?

Not really. but it does happen some times. Some people have to still use some type of heartburn med. Have you ried anything like pepcid?
