Hi everyone.
A friend gave me this recipe for a smoothie to help with GERD/LPR. I'm always skeptical as I have gone a long time without much relief from my LPR but thought I would try and am finding a reduction in my symptoms of chronic sore throat, regurgitation, upright reflux.
1.5 cups of fresh pineapple diced
1 banana
1/2 cup of Greek yoghurt
1/2 cup of ice
1/2 cup of cold water or milk
Just blend it to a smoothie consistency and vwha la!
I have it mid morning and found a reduction in my reflux after lunch and dinner. It might not be for everyone but it has helped me. I was worried about the pineapple as I thought it was very acidic but it actually contains special enzymes that help with the digestion of certain proteins that contribute to acid reflux.
