7. Welcome new members. Help new folks "learn the ropes" about how to find information and resources, save time, and how to get involved.

I am seeing some new posts without any replies while some threads run very long.  It would be nice if all members that join are welcomed and the guidelines support this.

Please look at the date of the last post before posting to a thread. If it's over 6 months or close to a year or more since anyone has posted to it, please start a new thread.

You can also avoid posting to someone who is no longer here by clicking on their profile and looking at when they last posted to the forums. If it's been several months most likely they aren't here anymore.

Instead of starting a new thread for every different symptom that is related to your problem, please combine them by either editing your post or adding it to your thread.
This will help keep more threads on the front page so more members will see the latest posts.
