Hello all,
I am having the manomotry test done on Monday and the Lap Nissen done on Wednesday. I had a partial manomotry test done a few weeks ago and I had trouble not swallowing when I wasn't supposed to. Any ideas on how to keep myself from automatically swallowing? The test before was horribly uncomfortable and wanted to know if anyone had any ideas on how to make it more tolerable? I know it's not a super long test, was told about an hour, so I'm sure I'll get through it, but not looking forward to it at all.
Also I'm nervous about the surgery. I talked briefly with the surgeon but he didn't give me a lot of information, I think because he figured I knew most of it already since I told him I looked it up. Would have felt better had he told me more of what to expect pre and post op. I am looking forward to feeling better and know that it is a long road to recovery but at least I'll be on the right road for the first time in many yrs. I've been reading other's post and will read more later, but wondered what, if any thing, to expect pre-op? I see the pre-op doc on Monday after the manomotry test, but wondered if anyone could give me any information before then?
