Ever hear of women's intuition? I never believe in it until it works with me!
As my previous post states, I was prescribed the generic form of Reglan by my doctor. For some reason, I kept getting this uncomfortable feeling about it even before I took it. Therefore, I only took one pill a day when I could have taken three or four.
My uneasy feelings proved to be true because just yesterday, as I was surfing the Net, I came upon a law firm who represents clients who have had bad reactions to Reglan and/or its corresponding generic.
Of most concern was a side effect called "tardive dyskinesia".
You can research the law office website by typing in "Reglan, lawsuit" on any major search engine.
I bet there are doctors who do not know about these cases. They can't know everything. Therefore, it is incumbant upon we patients to do research and research and research to try to arm ourselves with knowledge in order that we may make the best choices for ourselves.
I will now choose to stop the Reglan generic that I started taking. Other people will have to make their own decisions. Of course, there is risk in anything in life but I think that, for me, I have read enough about the risks of this drug to make an informed decision.
