Question about Gastroparesis

I've read that taking antacids with aluminum can cause gastroparesis. Has anyone ever heard this?

No, I don't think there is any truth in that. Here is a link to the Mayo Clinic information about gastroparesis. It discusses causes as well. I've never, ever heard that antacids/aluminum has ever been linked to the cause of gastroparesis.

Thanks denise. I was alittle concerned because i take carafate and gaviscon. I have not been diagnosed yet but strongly feel i have gp. I have the gastric emptying test this wednesday. Well see. I did read the article. I feel quite relieved. Yesterday i blended/pureed my dinner and i had alot less bloating and pain. Such a relief from six months of misery. I hope it continues to work today.
