I was dx'd with LPR 15 months ago.
80 mg Prilosec helped minimally for a few months, then my symptoms worsened.
I am still taking Prilosec.
6 weeks ago I had an 'acid attack' and lost the hearing in my left ear.
I have a very learned ENT Specialist, a Gastroenterologist and my primary working as a team and they cannot come up with the answers I need to begin healing.
A year ago my GE Dr. found a growth in my esophagus during endoscopic exam. They sent me to Beth Israel Deaconess in Boston for further testing. That specialist said the growth was too deep in the esophageal wall for biopsy.
We are repeating these tests 10/31
I have tried antidepressants, I was already taking 1800 mgs Gabapentin for neuropathy.
My diet is severely modified due to diabetes and gluten allergy
No sugar, no gluten, low fat, low acid, no dairy, no fun with food EVER!
I burn from my stomach to the tip of my tongue. It's constant.
I get no relief.
Cough, hoarseness, throat clearing, chronic lump in throat, blocked ears, bad breath/taste, post nasal drip, spasms (feels like my diaphragm), very difficult breathing, wheezing at larynx, difficulty sleeping.
My lungs are clear.
Tired of CT scans, MRI's, XRays, ultrasounds and scopes.
I don't know what else to do.
