Last year, I was diagnosed by my gastro that I had a hiatal hernia. My symptoms were sever bloating , reflux acidic and non acidic and really bad upper abdominal pain making it hard to breathe and gastritis. Since then I have had a Manometry which says I have mild dysmotility and a ph test with a demester score if 2.8, how low can you get. I have also had a barium swallow which shows no reflux but I was on ppis but again mild dysmotility ... Has anybody else experienced a sliding hiatal hernia which settles and can be controlled by drugs and then for no reason can suddenly rear it's ugly head and cause no end of problems . My symptoms range from regurgitation of food, upper abdominal pain, reflux acid and non acid, sometimes heartburn. I am waiting to see mt gastro consultant and see what he thinks .
