Hi was wondering if anyone could have some input - I just had a Hiatal Hernia repair 3 weeks ago (and the strange thing was the loosening of crura was rather small, the surgeon only did 2 stitches then placed a biomesh, no fundo was done) but I am still experiencing the LPR symptoms (there are some very slight improvements), am I bit early to ask for significant improvements as most people would need 2-3 months to notice significant changes post surgery?
Also what bother me the most is a strange inability of getting a full, effortless breath - 8/9 out of ten breaths I would feel as I am almost at the top the breathing action just stops, like I can't breath in any further, and lot of times I would get this very strange squeak/rubbing sound from the lower throat (that almost sounds like a seal). The ENT couldn't find anything significant in the upper airway (no inflammation like pre-surgery though which is another improvement), but did notice some strange sounds while listening to my lower throat and suggested getting a bronchoscopy done. A spirometer test I did early did show lowered lung function, likely some kind of obstruction/narrowing in the lower airway?
Would very appreciate if anyone has had similar problems and had improvements/cures, and if I should give it another 2-3 months (or longer) before considering other steps? (I am currently trying HCI Betatine capsules as it does feel like I have low stomach acids).
Thanks for your help in advance!
