We were on Prevacid which is also a capsule. Took very small scissors and nipped (cut) off the end of the capsule in order to pour them into other capsules Do this over a sanitary container so that you catch any little parts when splitting. Very easy to do if you are patient. Eventually you get a method that works easiest for you. This is very doable over an extended period of time.

Of course, check with your doc and pharmacist about this. ( one said 'no' and one said 'okay'.). Pharmacy wouldn't sell us capsules but health food stores had them readily available.

It took us approximately six months to very slowly titrate down to avoid rebound. Don't know if this post helps any but know that we understand what you are going through. Wish you the best.
