chest pressure/ heaviness

I just wanted to know if having what feels like pressure or a heaviness feeling on your upper chest while breathing, is something that is a symptom of LPR because while I experience it, I dont think I have directly heard someone on here describe the same kind of symptom. But, I do know that inhaleing alkaline water vapor seems to help it.

Hi, jaren.

So many things could be causing your discomfort. Notably, this year is an especially bad pollen season. A lot of people are suffering. I would be, but I take allergy shots. There are some new ones that are under the tongue instead of injections.

Also, you could have a lung problem, asthma, infection, etc. Or maybe you have a heart problem. I'm certainly no doctor, so it would be wise to see your PCP to get an educated opinion to start.

You might look up a few keywords on the search box at the top of the page. The allergy forum has a bunch of people suffering this year.

As you are thinking, reflux can cause asthma or esophagus problems. But I'd start with a general doctor before jumping to a specialist. "A specialist says you have what he treats. A generalist treats what you have."
