I think this is GERD..but it's so bad...

i am 25 yrs old. Never had this issue before. 3 days ago i woke up noticing that when i was having pain when swallowing. Eating made it worse. I would swallow and 4 seconds later it would hurt far down in my chest..like a huge pill was stuck there...that feeling.

Over these past 3 days it has gotten so bad when swallowing i can barley eat anymore. A little swallow right now causes a good 30 seconds of very bad pain that radiates to my back and chest...almost makes me want to scream..just from a swallow. And eating? feels like i am eating golf balls that are getting stuck down near stomach... After this episode my mouth fills with saliva that seems to be sweet...i am guessing acid?

I am on zantac twice a day but nothing is hel;ing and is getting worse. My diet is non existence becasue it hurts so bad to swallow food. Can GERD be this painful? I mean on a scale of 1-10 this is like a 8 or a 9 when i swallow. When i don't swallow its fine.

I went to urgent care last night and they said it was GERD and it should get better with what I am taking. But it's worse today then yesterday. Trying to see my normal doctor tomorrow if possible..Never knew something could be this uncomfortable when you swallow

Ya I can...but it's just as painful if I swallow water or food. Also same if I just swallow with nothing

Does it sound like gerd to you guys? I defiantly have some symptoms. Nurse said the pain radiating to back and chest sounds like it when eating etc.

This is something else. Still getting worse. Swallowing is now the most painful thing I have ever done. Had some tests today. Esophagus is inflamed. Have a special xray scheduled. But not for 3 weeks. I will go to er before that time comes to get test done

This morning my throat was clear. But now tonight it has white dots all over back of throat. So it's an infection. Back to doctors tomorrow. Ugh
