I was on Nexium for many years, and it made me feel hungry, but I blame not losing baby weight and eating badly for most of the pounds.
I tried some of the low carb diets and lost 15 pounds. Then I mostly went on my own and just cut out bread and lost the rest - total 50 lbs - and now I'm trimmed right down.
Cutting out all fat is not the answer. Fat is the most efficient source of energy. Worrying about eating cholesterol doesn't help either. Your liver takes the carbs you eat and turns them into cholesterol, which blocks up the heart arteries. I'm not advocating suet pudding, but I like just a little butter now and then.
I don't believe in any fads or supplements. Our parents didn't need them. Eating a good, balanced diet with lots of vegetables and no junk food makes more sense.
