I think that it depends on whether or not you intend on going into full on beast mode.
Given that you mention pilates in your post, I think you will be fine.
If I could only do one type of exercise for the rest of my life it would be Pilates, it's awesome, and is one of the most misunderstood forms of exercise out there. The top rugby and football teams are seeing the value of it now.
I'd love to get in elite(ish) shape again though doing the long distances and the callisthenics. There just seems to be no comments online from anyone who has done this.
