Hi Circus Dog
Think you need to look at the acid inducing foods that you are consuming, -- like coffee (very acidic) , tomatoes are triggers, cheese is protein and will need more acid produced to digest. Also look at the spices on the pizza and think about the 'wheat-gluten' connection. (We love pizza too but have learned it is a no-no thing). Since you went without pizza for eight months, then I'd stay away from it and the nausea (possibly gastritis) will subside. Also, it helps not to consume any foods for 2-3 hours before bed. Sounds like you might have some food sensitivities going on and it is worth writing down your meals for a while or downloading one of those food sensitivity apps that let you record what you eat, time and symptom and it points out possible triggers. Discuss the concerns with your doctor. This is a mean illness and so inconvenient as we want to just get on with our lives. Want you well real soon. Let us know how you do with diet changes. Pat
