Hi, I am looking for some more answers and knowledge to my recent found conditions. I Was diagnosed in late August 2014 by a gastrologis I was h pylori positive, after many visits to practitioners who were unable to identify it. Also I a 26 yr old male, average build, 160 lbs.
I took amoxicillin and ppi for two weeks. Which made me feel so well, back to my old self for a while. Soon after I had uncontrollable bouts to the restrooms. When I returned to the GI I was tested for C diff and treated for that too with flagel and cured. My GI also prescribed dicyclomine for three months and But with a downside.. I felt all my symptoms returning from before my diagnosis with h pylori, including; heartburn, skin irritants, foul smells, tiredness, weakness, etc. needless to say the worst part of all this is the foul fecal smells accommodating the infection. I was retested three months after treatment and was negative... And to be 100% honest stopping the ppi seemed like a death wish, I can't remember ever feeling so helpless and horrible in my life after three or four days off of pantoprazole. I had acid reflux, soar throat, migraine headaches, severe anxiety and hot irritated dry skin and scratching. I figured if I did still have h pylori than a few days off the ppi will be enough.
My GI has not tested me for anything since the retest for h pylori. My only diagnosis at this point is gastroesophageal reflux disease. Continuing to take pantroprazole ppi and daily or occasional probiotic, as prescribes, which both seem to help enormously but far from curing and do not last through the day. Occurring symptoms are irritating skin like eczema on body and face, daily headaches, back pains, tender lower abdominals, stinky foul smelling fecal fishy odors, occasonal gas and bloating, occasional diarrhea bouts, occasion stomach burns, tired easily. Date 1/9/15.
Looking for some direction here, hopefully somebody can relate to this posting. I am tired of feeling hopeless and practitioners scrubbing me off as if I were a hypochondriac, like before my finding of the h pylori.
