DEXILANT WEIGHT GAIN

I took dexilant for about 9 months and then started having horrible side effects so had to stop. While on Dexilant I gained 25 unwanted pounds in my stomach. I have a high metabolism and usually can eat like a horse and not gain a pound. My question is, once stopping Dexilant should the extra weight go away or am I stuck with it? I miss my abs.

Welcome to the forum.

I gained weight on Nexium. Feeling hungry is a well known side effect. It took me months and months to drop the weight because it's not water, it's fat!

You're not "stuck" with it, but it takes work to lose weight. I stopped eating bread. That had a nice side effect of lowering my cholesterol.
