In Week 15 of recovery now. Things have been going pretty well, until this morning. I awoke with pain in my neck and left shoulder. And a sharp feeling like rocks in the bottom of esophogus and top of stomach.
The pain in left side of my neck and shoulder is similar to that I felt for the first four weeks or so post-op. And the feeling of rocks is more like indigestion once I got up, but high in my stomach. First line of defense my bottle of Ibuprophen. It's three hours later now, and has eased off considerably.
No appetite, needless to say. Not necessarily a bad thing....
Last night I made Country-Style Pork Ribs in the crock-pot with a home-made concoction for the cooking sauce. We had cooked Summer Squash with that. And some really tasty home-made Bananas Foster Ice Cream. I'm thinking either the meat dish or the ice cream put my body into distress. Or maybe both! Or is it something else?
The eating has been going ok. We have fresh little plums from our back yard, and those are sweet but tangy. And I passed on a salad for dinner the other night because something told me it might not agree with my stomach.
My neck and shoulder have been tender to sore for several days but it was bad this morning. I wonder what is going on with me?
Anybody got any ideas? Should I be worried? Or is this just a blip in the healing process?
