I also have this acid reflux/GERD problem and it keeps on coming back.If you do not have any serious medical condition and reflux happens once in a while repeatedly you can try lot of home remedies available on internet.
Most Important thing to consider is how it starts or recurs.
Body has a self balancing mechanism.And most of diseases happen if you ill treat your system consistently with your thoughts and actions.Maybe unconscious thought pattern.
As per ayurveda/tantra/alternative healing and other texts there is a balance between upper moving energy and downward moving energy.For example excretion and digestion is helped my downward moving energy as they push the food down and keeps the solar plexus chakra/navel lint in its original position.If you are the kind who's mostly doing mental work maybe excesive thinking or spiritual by nature, these people have most of the thought patter associated with upward moving energy and tend to get too much in their head so as to create this imbalance ,so they need to ground themselves.Also excessive sexual activity also causes too much downward flow therby afterwards reduces the downward flow and hence upward flow is more.Also flight mode of reaction in case of fearful situation can increase upward flow which will push the food up and not down as it should be.upward flow can cause reflux and anxiety symptoms.
so try getting emotions and thoughts that make you ground,focus in present,try to cultivate a feeling as if you are pusing your solar plexus down/happens when you face your fears and feel in control.after eating try and feel the food going down easily.Anything that would make you have thoughts of getting grounded.It helps me a bit especially in situation i get anxious.
Pls this is just my personal experience do not take for granted and consult a physician in case it is serious.try this as an alternative if symptoms are mild ,recurring.
