Pugglewuggle, I agree with JeannieLouises. It's nothing to be worried about. I had the bravo ph probe test done a month ago. I noticed the probe in place -- a mild annoyance in feeling that there was something small "stuck" in my throat. But it wasn't painful. I did, however, have a bit of trouble swallowing at times, creating a type of "scraping" or "tugging" sensation against the probe. This seemed to occur when the food was too tough, course or large in the swallow. I also felt it while lying down which was a nuisance. Mine lasted in place for 2 full weeks which was quite a long time. They had trouble inserting it to begin, though, requiring three different attempts during the endoscopy. I was unaware and sedated, of course, but I think that this last one really stuck in place, hence the lengthy duration prior to release. I didn't feel it release or be eliminated. I just realized one morning during breakfast that I didn't feel anything during a swallow. I was glad to be done with it, for sure! Like I said, though, it can be annoying for some people, but it's not horrible. Many, many folks don't feel anything at all.
