Hi everyone,
First sorry for my bad level in english I hope you will understand my post. I have been in China two years ago to study there during one year. During the end of the year, I followed friends in terrible restaurants with no hygiene at all and now I am regreting this EVERY DAY. Indeed, I don't know what I ate but I guess it was probably something terrible and I developed many problems after this. I still don't know if it was a bacteria, coming from fecal or something toxic, but during 3 months I experienced big issues concerning my digestive transit, with diarrhea problems. I was not really worried at the beginning because I knew eating in bad places in China would make me sick, but it took a very long time and I did not go to the hospital. At the end of my trip, I experienced a particularly bad infection issue: i had kind of muscular pain and aches during few days and especially one main symptom: sulfur burps with a TERRIBLE smell. it last 3 or 4 days and I began to have breathing difficulties since this day. It never left me. I also have the feeling I have a lump in the throat every day, and I have strange burping issues all the time, with the feeling that burping never releases me and something is always stuck in the throat. Of course, as you can imagine, as a chronic disease I felt really bad since the beginning and decided to see a doctor. I did a gastroscopy but the doctor told me he didn't see anything. Then he told me that it was stress and psychological and gave me Xanax. I took this medicine and of course nothing happened, I am not stressed and I know it is not stress-related. I had the feeling it was GERD so another doctor gave me proton pump inhibitors during 3 months, but it had almost no effect, less acidity but still breathing difficulties and burping. Since this moment I stopped taking medication as doctors said it would leave by itself and I was positive. But as you can guess, it is still the same after two years, with another symptom: my sternum has been cracking all the time for few months now, I have no idea if it is related or not. It became a chronic disease, and when I say chronic, imagine doing small burps every minute of your life with the feeling you can't breath. Oh and I forgot to mention that I saw a respirologist but he told me it was not my lungs, and that it was probably linked to my oesophagus and stomach and many medical conditions linked to it give this symptom. Also, when I came back from China I took a preventive deworming tablet so the doctor said this was probably the reason why we can't say if it is linked to a parasit...
Well now I just don't know what to do, I don't even know which doctor I should see, with what I should begin, I feel really bad.
Thank you very much for your help if you have any idea...
