Well, what has been helping me with that awful throat burn and pain:
I drink one cup of very low acid decaf coffee a day. The rest of the time I drink decaf tea and water. No soda at all. Soda and caffeine really make the throat burn worse.
I have also cut wheat/gluten out of my diet. This has helped my digestive difficulties as well as my sore throat. I think I might either have a gluten (wheat, barley, rye) or just a wheat sensitivity. In any event, I am feeling better overall with this.
Have you been to your doctor? Are you on any medications to help with your Acid Reflux?
