I had my Nissen Fundiplication surgery on January 13, 2016. This was a repair. I had my first one done in 2003. My surgery and recovery went well. I done the liquid diet for the first 2 weeks after my surgery. I saw the surgeon in follow up and was told I could start adding soft food. That all went well. At 6 weeks I saw the surgeon again and was told to just gradually add whatever I felt comfortable eating. I was doing well with eating and not having many problems unless I brought them on my self - eating to fast, not chewing good, etc.
about a week ago I started getting severe chest pain radiating around to my side, pain when I take a breath in and a headache immediately after eating. This lasts 30-45 minutes and then goes away. I went back to liquids and soft foods. But I even get it with soft food - scrambled eggs, pasta.
I saw the surgeon Thursday and he ordered an Upper GI. I get that done tomorrow. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I'm really concerned.
