i had lap toupet fundoplication on 11/5/15 and while it has been a long, difficult healing process, i have no reflux, no chronic cough, not a single episode of laryngospasm...which by itself was totally worth this process. i no longer have sleep apnea and even my snoring is very, very slight when i used to wake up people in another room. the surgeon has no idea why it would affect snoring, but the result was instantaneous and lasting. my only real persistant symptoms are gas and sudden, explosive diarrhea. i also had my gallbladder removed 3mths prior to the fundo so i know that is a factor, too. anyway, i was at a new health food store several days ago, looking a special herbal tea for our golden retriever recently diagnosed with cancer. on check out, i saw all the CBD oils behind the counter. as long as it doesn't contain thc, it is legal in all 50 states. the elderly lady owner said she uses it for heart palpitations and irritable bowel syndrome and many customers have had success with everything from stomach ailments to seizures and parkinson's. since my last post, complaining of this abdominal spasm i keep getting, i did start a food journal. coffee def results in diarrhea, but i couldn't find a trigger for the spasms which completely hinder me from eating. the day i got the oil, one of the spasms started right when i was cooking dinner. in the weeks after the surgery, i would have taken a percocet to be able to eat dinner, but haven't used it for months. i squirted some CBD oil under my tongue and the spasm was gone within minutes!! the next day, i used some before drinking coffee and NO diarrhea for the first time in as long as i can remember. i have had irritable bowel most of my adult life and coffee is always a trigger, but i love it too much and was always willing to "pay the price". anyway, i wanted to share my success with CBD and strongly recommend it. it tastes HORRID, but i bought the original since i also got it for the dog, but they do have flavors and i will be getting that next time.
