Please tell me this is just a healing stage shakehead I am a few days shy of 3 months post op of a toupet fundoplication. First couple weeks were a little rough, but in all healing has been great! Not a trace of heartburn until 3 days ago. Now it feels like before surgery. I still can't burp and am still experiencing some mild bloat, so I'm hoping the wrap is still in place, but I've made myself sick worrying about this.

Any help, insight, experience would help a bunch.

Have you introduced any new foods into your diet? I would try restricting my diet with "safe" foods, for a few days to see if you can get some relief. I didn't require any medication post-surgery, but some people still need to take PPIs. Three months is still very early in your recovery, although it might not seem like it. As for the bloat, I would take some anti-gas medication, and that should help. You should call your surgeon and discuss your concerns with him/her.

It took one year for me to feel the full effect of my N/F. Please be patient and watch your diet carefully especially coffee, chocolate, tomatoes and spices. As always see your surgeon if you have concerns.
