Post Nissin 8mths nowhorrendous bloating and severe headaches

As per title has anyone experienced similar?

After I eat my main meal/dinner, I suffer really massive bloating, looking like I'm 6mths pregnant (not such a great look for a bloke) and 9/10 I will get the most horrendous headches that make migraines seem a walk in the park. So severe that I've come close to sending for an ambulance on three ocassions.

I can feel the pain work it's way up my torso, my teeth feel like they will explode out of their sockets, my throat feels like it's closing over and my head is in a vice. This can last 3hrs, even tramadol doesn't touch it nor do my migraine meds.


Has anyone had anything close to this?

Have you tried taking anti-gas medication, or kept a food journal to see if it's specific foods that are causing the bloating symptoms? Are you still trying to eat 4-6 small meals a day, or are you back to eating breakfast, lunch dinner? Honestly, you should contact your doctor about the headaches and other symptoms. If they are severe enough to consider an ambulance, you need medical advice from a professional and they symptoms may have nothing to do with your NF surgery. I'm 2.5 years post-surgery and didn't suffer from the symptoms that you are describing and have not needed to take reflux medication since the surgery.

I'm definitely eating normally, but much smaller portions than pre-surgery. I can no longer belch, so gas is periodically an issue for me - there are some foods that I try and stay away from and carbonated beverages are something I definitely avoid. Recovery is a slow process, but it definitely gets better.
