Alternative to OTC acid reflux medications?

I dont know the price, but even walmart has their own brand right next to rol-aids ect in the isle, it cant be too costly, as other walmart brands of meds (like alergy, ibuprofen, cold ect) are dirt cheap.

Dont mean to preach to the choir (your a GERD vet LOL):

Not knowing your situation or GERD cause, Have you ever tried the natural approach instead of Rx meds? You know, complete gut health, probiotics, HCL, digestive enzymes, D-limonene, Manuka honey for a while , then taper off this? Its not cheap, but some heal it, then avoid their "bad" foods and live somewhat happily ever after.

I did this, just have to avoid my bad triggers, which is hard during holidays.

This is something your doctor can suggest for you. Certain medications work well for some people, and not others. I used Protonix (Pantoprazole), for many years.
