Nissen surgery for GERD with IBS

saw a surgeon today to see if i should get surgery for GERD.
he said because i take a PPI and still have symptoms and because i have IBS/IBD, he thinks i should not
get the surgery. he said i am not a typical case and nissen can make me much better or it can make me worse and is not a great idea at this time. wondering if others have experience or thoughts on this.

he said if i want the surgery he will do it but if he were me he would avoid it since its not a clear case of GERD and symptoms of IBS make it complicated.

Hello, did you have any tests such as manometry, phmetry along with impedance test???

What symptoms do you have even though you are taking PPI?

I didn't have those tests all were normal
But PH test showed heartburn all night long.

i would only recommend, this surgery, as a last resort. and, is my case, only if your body, forces you to have it.
