Hi Andrew:
I don't know much about
celiac disease, but did suffer from GERD for most of my adult life. One thing you might try is a prescript
ion called Sucralfate (Carafate), it's used to coat the stomach (comes in liquid or pills). Quite a few people on this board swear by it. Also, I know you said that you eat healthy, but have you followed a strict GERD-friendly diet? No spicy foods, citrus, caffeine, chocolate, etc. I know you said that PPIs don't work, which ones did you try? How long were you on them because they often don't provide quick relief, but help over time. Unfortunately, sometimes GERD doesn't resolve itself as quickly as we'd like. If you doctor suggested the SIBO test, have it done and go from there.
Good Luck,
Sharon
