smlafleur, if you have time, please share what happened. I'm contemplating laporoscopic nissen fundoplication. I had a consult and the doctor is excellent and says it will help me, but my whole family is apprehensive. This doctor uses a special device called a bougie to size the wrap as it has been known to be done too tight or loose.
He claims 95% success. He went over all the cons and how it can loosen over time, etc. I really think there will be newer, better ways eventually but I don't know if I can stand waiting.
