4th Anniversary Of Nissen Surgery

Just dropped in to say hello and to recommend surgery to anybody who has been evaluated and recommended to have it. Every case is different but the one thing I have found out is that there is no cure for a hiatal hernia except surgery in one form or another. In my case I suffered from recurring bouts of GERD for more than 40 years. The only time I don't remember having it was during two tours of duty in Vietnam. That may have been because of reduced diet.
On 13 March 2013 I had laproscopic surgery At Keesler Air Force Base hospital to repair my hernia and a 360 Nissen. From the time I entered the hospital until the present, I never experienced one second of pain due to the surgery. Since that time I have not had a single incident of heartburn or reflux. I can eat anything I want and sleep through the night without waking up coughing from GERD.
