Fortunately I remembered my user name and PW. It's been several years since I posted anything. Been going through many changes but still having GERD issues. That hasn't changed! I have a EGD scheduled for Wednesday. Not looking forward to it. I think I have LPR also.

Hii Annie..when did u have ur surgery?havnt u got any relief at all?? I'm only 7 weeks from surgery and still hv gerd issues.

Hi Rooby, No, I've not had surgery. I don't know what this new GI will say. My old GI retired and he never suggested surgery. He believed in PPIs! I went 3 years without seeing him. I'm overdue for the EGD. I've been using ginger tea, Tums, Gaviscon etc. The coughing is out of control! I don't know if the milky mucus is coming from the lungs or not. My diet has been mostly white chicken and white rice. I suspect I have LPR also. Have you had surgery? I've been reading about surgeries and I don't think I'd want it.

Sorry t hear abt ur troubles..thought that u hd the surgery..I HD it 7weeks before and hvnt felt any difference..may b I' m in my early recovery and things b okay later..I'm from India nd English is my second language too..prayers for ur health..may I ask u which country u r from??

I'm Canadian American. I was born in the USA and live in the south. Unfortunately my parents did not speak English.

I've read on many posts that the surgery gets better in time. I will pray you will have great results.
Although I'm very active, I'm 75 years old and don't know if I could hang in there til the surgery benefits would kick in!

Do you live in India?

Vaajurooby, I suggest that you start your own thread with your questions & concerns. More people will see your posts. Also, there is a member SharonZ that gives lots of members excellent information & tips.

Yes Annie..i live in India..I'm 34 years..America and Canada are countries which I HV seen in pictures only..if ur gerd is not horrible u need not do the surgery..and how long a person hangs in is out of our control and I pray u live many more years happily..my grandma s 80 years and she is more active than I'm..haha

Its not a problem Annie.. Susie just suggested if I start my own thread for posting my concerns abt the surgery, more people will notice it.
