I'll try to keep it short, I've been suffering with Gastritis and GERD for about 4 years now, previous H pylori has been eradicated and confirmed a number of times. I had a Toupet Fundoplication about 6 months ago, and although the surgery was a success in that I no longer bring up reflux, I'm still getting terrible pain to the right side of my abdomen (ultrasound normal). Question I have is, the fundo was my first ever abdominal surgery, and the surgeon told me I had a ton of "Paraesophageaul adhesions", could adhesions lower down in my abdomen have not been seen during the surgery? How did I end up with adhesions when I've been told that they only form after abdominal surgery?
Would really appreciate any feedback on this, thanks.
