Lisarov,
It's very natural for you to be worried. You are facing a major surgery that you have never experienced before. First and foremost you must trust your doctor. Secondly, you must listen to your doctor.. do not try to rush your recovery and do not try to push yourself. And third... listen to your body!!! It will tell you if you are trying to do something too quickly. Do not rush your food intake.. try a little at a time as your doctor tells you what to introduce back into your diet. I can eat everything I ate before the surgery, but some things are more of a challenge than others. I am coming up on the 8th year after my Nissan.. if I had to do it over again, I would do it without hesitation. I can say without reservation that the people on this forum are the reason that I made it through my recovery. There is a wealth of information here and it would benefit you to question the people on here and listen to their stories. I have not had reflux since April 2, 2011. My surgery was April 1, 2011. I had a hiatal hernia and acid reflux, as a result of the reflux I had reflux induced asthma. Once the Nissan Fundoplication was done, I no longer had asthma. I have had to adjust my diet and my eating habits. But I am healthier than ever. I had my surgery at age 62 and at the time I felt like I was 90. This surgery gave me my life back. I know that all people do not have the success that I have, but, I feel that if you follow the doctors advice and instruction and above all, come here and ask questions and listen to advice given. And no topic of conversation is frowned up. In plain words, you can talk about
whatever your body is making you ask about
.
Good luck with your surgery
sending rainbows and smiles to you!!
Sandi
