My TIF surgery was in March. I've had lots of ups and downs, including yeast infection of my esophagus twice. I thought I was over the hump and finally doing better, but in August I started heartburn and indigestion again. My doctor did another scope, he said everything looked fine as far as the surgery, but diagnosed me as having gastritis. Put me back on Carafate 4 times a day and Pepto Bismol pills 4 times a day. Told me to eat cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage. 2 weeks later I was no better, and saw a different doctor. She suggested I go back on Nexium, hopefully temporarily. I am now back to taking 2 Nexium a day, which is the very reason I had the TIF to begin with, to get off it!! Anyway, any encouragement from anyone would be appreciated. I haven't been on here in awhile, but I think I remember seeing posts that said they took up to a year to get over it completely, so maybe I just haven't given it time. Thank you.
