hi
I have some questions for you guys about your experience of a hiatal hernia and symptoms. I have been diagnosed through a few different chiropractors as having a HH. I have had a number of them supposedly pull it down.
I dont have acid reflux or burning. i have some crazy other issues and i am not sure if they are from the hiatal hernia or something else.
Basically i have severe bloating all the time, even if i dont eat. And i have severe tightness aorund my diaphragm where it is squeezing me and i feel I am suffocating! I have been to many many dr's over the past 5 years that I have had this. x rays tests etc and no clear diagnosis. I am wondering if diaphragm [aralysis could be it.
But since I know I have a HH, I am wonderinghow much that plays into it?
I know most dont believe a chiro can pull down a hh. The most recent chiro I have been seeing every 2 weeks for 5 months and he is also a naturopath and i do really trust him- as he has helped me with some other things that were quite remarkable. He says sometimes- only two times in all the times I saw him, my HH was up and he pulled it down, but other times not up. before that I went to a different chiro who said it took him 5 treatments in a row to get my hh down. so who knows. thie question isnt about if a chiro can pull down a hh.,
I am trying to see if other who have a hh have any of the same symptoms as I do. I have been trying to figure out what is wrong with me for 5 years and am still noot sure.
Thinking it could be partially form the HH but my symptoms are so extreme I am wondering if I have a paralyzed diaphragm.
So I have a really severely tright gripping squeezing aorund my diaphragm area and a little higher. It makes me feel I am suffocating all the time- cant breathe. and the bloating but no acid reflux- bloating even if I dont eat. recnetly realized I may have diastasis recit ( where the ab muscles split after having a baby) tho i had my kid 10 years ago. There are techiniqes to repair that but I cant even start till I get my breathing and suffocating issue figured out.
so if you have a HH- how intesne is it- do you have a tight squeezed up feeling at your diaphragm area? breathing trouble and is it costant or comes and goes? ( mine is constant)
any other ideas?
My next step ( after many er visits, dr's chest x rays, blood tests, ultrasounds etc) is I am going to a very well reviewed accupuncturist/ chinese medicine doctor to see if he can help me.
but that is in a while and for now I would love to know if any of these symptms are shared by other HH peoplpe or if anyone knows if this may be ( really hope not) diaphragm paralusis
