Stomach burns

I think you can expect just about anything this soon after your surgery. Did you stop taking medication prior to your surgery? You have to remember that you just went through major abdominal surgery and your stomach is angry. Keep in mind that this can be a lengthy recovery and you will more than likely experience setbacks along the way. Welcome to the Healing Well Forum.

Sometimes, it's just a little reaction from quitting the medication and it should subside. If it doesn't, contact your surgeon. Some people benefit from being on PPIs for a small amount of time post-surgery. It's not something that I experienced, but some people do need to continue them in the interim.
