Hey everyone,
my name is Goran, and I just had my lingual tonsil removed. It flared up and wouldn't go down no matter how much antibiotics i took. (i had the others taken out when I was 8, and always had trouble swallowing certain foods since). THe doc said that I might have acid reflux too since something like 70% of those that have their lingual tonsil removed originally suffered from LPR. This struck me as unusual since I never had any acid reflux symptoms in my life (except maybe 3 or 4 times). However, since I moved to Arizona from Europe 7 years ago, I started having bad headaches. Then, couple yrs later I developed allergies which are getting worse and worse. Sometimes I wake up and drain my nose for 10 minutes and the sinuses/nose stay stuffy/swollen for the rest of the day. I also sneeze throughout the day. Lately I've also been feeling out of breath when eating since my nose/sinuses swell up when i start to eat. My voice and throat become sore after talking a lot for maybe an hour or so. I have to cough small amounts of mucus/saliva to clear my airway passages, especially after eating and drinking. Now, I do have many allergies, especially to the stuff growing here in Arizona, and also house dust. The doc said that my sinuses look like someone broke my nose lol. My symptoms do get better when I take singulair (for allergies). Even though I feel short of breath sometimes, I work out everyday and am in top notch shape. I can run and play basketball for hours at a time without feeling out of breath. I can also eat anything and I never have any problems with my stomach or digestive system (none that I know of at least). I'll see a doc when I get insurance in about two weeks. I come to you guys because you probably know the symptoms, and from reading around the forum, it may be that I have LPR. What is your guys' take on what I have? Thanks!<!-- / message -->
