Hi all! I just wanted to pop in and tell you all that I had my endoscopy this morning and as you all said, it was a breeze. 
The hardest part was their starting the IV. For some reason they had trouble starting a line and they had to do 3 punctures before getting a good one. Ouch!
They were about 45 minutes late getting the test going though so the waiting made it worse. After they had the line in, they had me turn on my side, put that mouth piece in my mouth and I said "Is it getting fuzzy in here?". Next thing I know, I am in a room all by self wondering where everyone went.
As for the results, she didn't see any areas of erosions or acid damage. She did find a small hiatal hernia though with a bit of gastritis. Everything looked good to her though. She did take biopsies but she doesn't think they will come back bad.
So, what is causing the pain I don't really know. Maybe this was just a wake up that I need to lose weight.
Thank you all for your posts and your good thoughts. Now if I need another endoscopy in the future I won't be so scared.
