DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THERE IS A LINK BETWEEN HAVING GERD AND HIGH HEMOGLOBIN LEVELS ALSO CALLED POLYCYTHEMIA. ANY INFO WOULD BE HELPFUL

Hi RICKSWIFE. I just got tested for celiac today (I probably don't have it) and the person who stuck me with the needle told me that I have a high hemoglobin level since my blood was so dark!! So now I'm wondering the same thing! Interesting...

Actually, after reading about it, I think that the high hemoglobin level is CAUSED by Gerd and not the other way around. Also, not everyone who has a high hemoglobin level has polycythemia. So it is NOT the same thing.
