Yes, I also feel fine at first until about an hour or 1-1/2 hrs later. Debaser, for a while I kept a bottle of oregano by my bed and chewed about a 1/2 - 3/4 teaspoon of it. It's AWFUL, and it burns, so it's probably not the best thing for the esophagus, but it worked several times.
FYI While I'm thinking about it, the one non-food thing that consistently helps at night, when my indigestion is always at its worst, is a HOT SHOWER before bed.
