yes mar alot of thoughts. If anyone knows sinuses and GERD and postnasal drip, and stress it is me. I have been diagnosed with chronic sinusitis for about
ten years now, and GERD since 2000 and stress since about
the age of 18, and let me tell you stress can bring on the symptoms faster than the disease itself can be diagnosed. Your allergies can be controlled with medications. I use prescribed nasal sprays like flonase and an allergy pill like claritin, and saline solution to keep the nose clear. I have alot of post nasal drip that runs down the back of my nose which i use mucinex for. it hurts my GERD. it makes me cough. it makes my throat hoarse. it makes my symptoms worse. Want to know the real bigger problem? I have severe asthma. Then my asthma gets worse. So all these symptoms are interacting with each other, so its not you. They have alot to do with each other really.
I just had a procedure done with the gastro on monday called an gastro endoscopy with the tube down the throat cause i was having a hard time swallowing, regurgitation, hoarseness, coughing, they found absolutely nothing. i have no hearburn. he did get mucus down my esophagus and did sent away for a culture. now im having something else done today which is called a ph manometry to see what is causing me to have difficulty swallowing. It is all seasonal allergies. I am on several antibiotics for sinus infections every year especially the fall. so it is not you. its something that goes with the territory. i actually had to go to speech therapy to get my voice back when i lost in in 2004. good thing i knew sign language. just hang in there, because all of these things can be well managed. its about getting on the right medication and most of all finding the right doctor is the key.
